by EfonFire 2018-10-08 07:27:49

In this lesson, I am going to talk answer the question on why intonation matters in English.

What is intonation? Why does it matter in learning English? How can I learn it?

Intonation is the melody of your voice. It's the way your voice goes up and down as you speak.

I'd like to stress out that Intonation is so important for communication.

In many occasions, it's as important as your vocabulary in the way you express what you want to say because one of its importance is that it can tell about your feelings.

Without it, your speech would sound robotic, mechanical, and be very confusing to your listener.

When you make mistakes in intonation, it can result in misunderstandings or in offending someone.
